Facebook has partnered with some sites which will also tell the facebook Friends about their current status on those partner sites. This means through facebook you will be able to know the current status of your friend.
Current partner sites include famous social and informative websites like Discovery Channel, Digg, Hulu etc. The war of getting on the top is clearly visible. Google on 1st Dec, 2008 rolled out Friend Connect.
Incidentally similar are the features of this Facebook App and has similar name – Connnect.
