This an exciting piece of news for Apple fans as Apple Apps have hit the web. This means you don’t need to install any specific software to browse Apple’s items or purchase them or look for any free app by Apple at new App Store.

Frederic Lardinois in his post at Readwriteweb says:

Thanks to an online version of the App Store which scrapes the content of the store in iTunes, you can quickly browse for applications, read reviews, and see screenshots from any computer that has access to the Internet without ever having to open iTunes.

Though Frederic has sights some limitations like the installation of apps without using iTunes at some point may not be feasible so Apple may shut down this service at some point. Interestingly Amit Agarwal who first unplugged this story sites many advantages of this web itunes store like:

You are behind a corporate firewall or  on a computer that doesn’t allow software installation or on Linux while iTunes is only for Mac and Windows on in worst case iTunes Online store may not be available in your country.

As his article is itunes specific so he encourages users to go to itunes.apple.com and use the search box available near the iTunes showcase box.

But the time till which itunes on web survive you can have fun of them on internet.
